PROFILE: Entrepreneur Louis Borick founded the Louis Borick Foundation in 1997 to “create opportunity for people to reach their full potential, positively contribute to society and participate in a culturally rich community by supporting education, youth, leadership development, and the arts.” Across the foundation, Borick funds animal welfare, the arts, early childhood education, foster youth, LGBT, and preservation.

 The foundation’s broad LGBT grantmaking supports “nonprofit organizations that build community and promote equality for all people.” Borick’s grants average between $10,000 and $50,000. The foundation awards grants to organizations located across the United States, but prioritizes organizations located in Northern California, Southern California, and Texas.
