PROFILE: Established in 2012, the Always Giving Back Foundation (AGBF) is a corporate foundation based in Chicago, Illinois. This is the philanthropic arm of AGB Investigative Services, Inc., which is a full-service security company. Dr. Denitra Griffin and her husband, John Griffin, Jr., created this foundation to serve minority high school students and young adults. Denitra Griffin is an educator and school administrator, while John Griffin is a security expert who founded the AGB Investigative Services company. The foundation aims to "disrupt the cycle of poverty through workforce development, financial wellness and philanthropy.” AGBF funds local efforts for youth, education, higher education, human services and workforce development.

The Always Giving Back Foundation is committed to providing resources for underserved city communities, such as transportation to the polls during an election and summer business internships for young people. It awards scholarships to minority students to help them improve their business, communication and entrepreneurship skills. AGBF scholarship recipients and interns emerge ready to seek employment after completing the foundation’s program. AGBF’s Family First and Community Appreciation program provides direct assistance and educational assistance to struggling families, as well as partnership opportunities for local nonprofits that assist people of color who find themselves in vulnerable situations. Overall, AGBF looks to reduce equality disparities in Chicago and give young African Americans here better opportunities for jobs, regardless of the neighborhood they live in.
