PROFILE: Established in 1964, the Quad Cities Community Foundation (QCCF), formerly the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend, is a community foundation based in Bettendorf, Iowa. However, it serves the Quad Cities area and is a major funder of Rock Island County, Illinois. Originally the vision of John Nagle and Bea Conrad and called the Davenport Area Foundation, QCCF administers nearly 1,000 funds and aims to "transform the region through the generosity of donors.” It funds local efforts for arts and culture, community development, education, health, youth, safety, environmental studies and nonprofit capacity building.

The Quad Cities Community Foundation has many different grant opportunities available for local nonprofits. These include the Teens for Tomorrow grants, Q2030 grants and Mark W. Schwiebert Fund for Environmental Studies grants. The various funds offering opportunities are listed on the foundation’s website along with the relevant deadlines and guidelines. QCCF also has numerous geographic affiliates in Cedar County, Van Buren County, Geneseo, Morrison and Mount Carroll. These affiliates have open grant application cycles as well.

Grants range between about $500 and $5,000. Grantmaking focuses on the Quad Cities area, which is in Rock Island County, Illinois and Scott County, Iowa. Past local grantees include the Rock Island County Forest Preserve District, Rock Island Arsenal Historical Society and Quad City Music Guild. Learn more about this funder’s local giving in the federal 990 reports posted on the documents and forms page of the funder’s website.
