PROFILE: The Kayne Foundation was established in 1986 by Richard Kayne, one half of the co-founding team of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. The other half, the late John E. Anderson, was a major benefactor of UCLA, whose business school is named after him. The Kaynes have also strongly supported UCLA, Kayne's graduate alma mater. A few years ago, Kayne and his wife Suzanne made a $5 million grant to create Suzanne Kayne Investment Management Specialization Program Fund at UCLA Anderson School of Management. The family continues to support UCLA via the Kayne Family Foundation.
