OVERVIEW: The Marineau Family Foundation awards grants to programs helping girls and women live economically secure lives that are free from violence.

PROFILE: Established in 2006, the Marineau Family Foundation “funds projects and programs that open pathways for all, especially women and their children, through education, violence prevention, and opportunities for further economic self-sufficiency.” The foundation invests in skills development, like-minded collaborations, and those that involve girls and women in their planning and implementation phases.
Grant amounts range from $10,000 to $50,000 and are awarded for a period of one to three years. Past grantees include the Women’s Foundation in support of its Women’s Policy Institute program and the University of San Francisco for four partial scholarships for young women graduates of Christo Rey High School.
