Workday Foundation: Grants for Animals and Wildlife

OVERVIEW: The Workday Foundation supports a variety of animal welfare projects

PROFILE: Established in 2013, the Workday Foundation aims to “transform lives by creating career pathways that unleash human potential.” The foundation is the philanthropic arm of Workday, an enterprise software company specializing in cloud-based applications for finance and human resources.

Workday seeks organizations “using innovative solutions to break the cycle of poverty by creating lasting economic security through meaningful employment,” through its Impact grant program. While it does not have a grantmaking program dedicated to animals and wildlife, Workday has a history of supporting such organizations. Past grantees in this space include Best Buddies International, DFW Rescue Me, and the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society.

Workday’s grants typically range from $5,000 to $50,000 though it does make a few awards in the $100,000 to $150,000 range. The foundation is not currently accepted unsolicited grant proposals.
