PROFILE: Established in 2011, the Grousbeck Trust is the philanthropic foundation of Wycliffe K. Grousbeck. Grousbeck engages in philanthropy through his Grousbeck Trust, a low-profile foundation that gave away around $4.4 million in a recent year. Grousbeck was a general partner of Highland Capital Partners and has been managing partner, governor, and CEO of the Boston Celtics since 2002, after spearheading a local investment group that acquired the NBA team. Grousbeck also chairs the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, which he has strongly supported. The foundation’s grantmaking areas of interest are education and youth, health and human services, arts and culture, and Boston community.

The foundation does not have a website. However, Grousbeck and his ex-wife, Corrine, have also been particularly supportive of Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, Massachusetts, which their son attended. Corrine chairs the board of Perkins. Other past Boston area grantees include the Boston Ballet, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum,  Boys and Girls Club Boston, Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, and The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation.
