BACKGROUND:  Amos Wilnai graduated with a BSEE degree from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel in 1964, and an MSEE from the Polytechnic Institute in Brooklyn in 1966. He worked at National Semiconductor Israel and at Intel Israel. He founded Clarity Ltd. of Israel, an IC design automation company and later founded MMC Networks, a network processor supplier which sold for $4.5 billion in stock.


JEWISH CAUSES: Both Wilnai and Ruth were born in Israel and steadily support the Jewish community via their foundation. Grantees include PEF Israel Endowment Funds, National Yiddish Book Center,  Jewish Funders Network, American Friends of Tel Aviv University, Oshman Family Jewish Community Center, and Greater Miami Jewish Federation.

BAY AREA COMMUNITY: The family supports Bay Area Wilderness Training, The Wellness Kitchen & Resource Center, Outdoors Empowered Network, and 10 Books a Home, “a Bay Area nonprofit that provides in-home tutoring to families in high poverty communities.
