PROFILE: Amalia Mendoza has been with the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky since the fall of 2013 and is a senior program officer. She previously worked as a grants and contracts officer at the International Potato Center and as a program consultant for UNDP in Lima, Peru. She was also a senior program consultant for the Minnesota Department of Human Services for 10 years in St. Paul.

Amalia joined the Foundation in the Fall of 2013. She is Senior Program Officer for the Investing in Kentucky’s Future (IKF) Initiative. She has worked in government and with international organizations to improve services to children and at-risk youth. She has served as Interim Director of the Children’s Mental Health Division of the Minnesota Department of Health Services. More recently, she served as a Technical Assistance Coordinator for the Technical Assistance Partnership for Child and Family Mental Health. Amalia has a Master’s in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota and a law degree from the Catholic University of Peru.
