Soullière has served as chief executive of the Fidelity Foundations since 1987 and as a Trustee of the Fidelity Investments Charitable Gift Fund since its inception in 1991. An honors graduate of Wellesley College, she studied medieval history at the Johns Hopkins University and earned the MBA at UCLA. Her career has included posts at New England Conservatory of Music, the National Endowment for the Arts, and Yale University. She is a trustee of the Virgil Thomson Foundation, the Marlboro Music School and Festival, and the African-American Experience Fund of the National Park Foundation. She has served as a member of the Yale University Development Board and National Development Outreach Council of Wellesley College, also a member of the College's Business Leadership Council. She is an elected member of the American Antiquarian Society and Massachusetts Historical Society; also a member of the Advisory Board of the Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. An advisor to the Center for Effective Philanthropy, she is also a member of the Yale University School of Music Board of Visitors and University Council Committee.

Soullière is the retired president of Fidelity Foundation. Her relationship with the Yale School of Music began in 1970 with a secretarial job and has grown immensely since then: in addition to serving on the Board of Advisors, she is also a member of the Battell Stoeckel Trust, the fundamental source of support of the Yale Summer School of Music/Norfolk Chamber Music Festival.
