PROFILE: Casey Geddes has been with Genzyme’s community relations team since January 2015. According to her LinkedIn bio, these are her responsibilities in this role:
- Manage scholarship program, including two internal and external review committees, program outreach and candidate communication
- Coordinate weekly and individual volunteer programs with 20-100 employees, demonstrating volunteer management skills
- Supervise Genzyme’s main volunteer program, G.I.V.E., and provide assistance to team captains throughout the process, increasing the total amount of volunteer activities and grants given to the community
- Assist in the corporate giving process, including strengthening external partnerships through site visits, participating in review committee meetings, managing sponsorship events, and processing check requests
Geddes previously served over three years as president of the Northeastern Women’s Tennis Team and earned a BA in organizational communication from Northeastern University. Her personal interests include skiing, hiking, swimming, traveling, volunteering and reading.
