PROFILE: Dan Quigley’s background is in education, the nonprofit sector, and energy policy. He has been a partnership consultant for EBCF since 2013 and also serves as a member on the board of directors of the Horizons Foundation. Quigley’s bio on the EBCF website shares:

Dan Quigley manages grant-making programs for key corporate donors and supports EBCF’s other grant-making and programmatic initiatives. Dan was the Executive Director of the Oakland Schools Foundation from 2010-12, and consulted with EBCF and the Oakland Chamber of Commerce in 2013-15.

Dan spent 21 years at PG&E, where he was first an energy efficiency analyst and then Director of Charitable Contributions for 14 years.

Previously, Dan was an energy policy and program analyst at the Department of Energy in Washington, D.C. and at the International Energy Agency in Paris, France.

Dan has a fondness for non-profit governance and management and serves on the Board of the Horizons Foundation, where he has been Chair and Vice-Chair, and on the Board of Stiles Hall. In addition to past service on the Boards of the Chabot Space and Science Center and the Commonwealth Club, he was Chair of the Board of Northern California Grantmakers from 2002-04.

Dan holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University, and obtained his M.A. in Education at the University of Kentucky while teaching second grade in inner-city schools through the Teacher Corps.
