Denise Coleman, Evergreen Foundation

PROFILE: Denise Coleman is the administrator and one of two staff members at the Evergreen Foundation. She has been in this position since July 2014 and is the best point of contact for grantseekers. She follows Tom McDevitt, who was the administrator for the 30 years prior. She helped out with public education and social marketing efforts for the foundation before becoming a full-time member of the foundation team.

Prior to Coleman’s hiring, she was the executive director for WNC Options, LLC and the executive director of The Arc of Haywood County. Her educational background includes a master’s from Clemson University, a bachelor’s in psychology from Virginia Intermont College, and an associate’s in child development from Shasta College.
