PROFILE: Fernande Legros has been a program officer at the Full Circle Fund since July 2016. Previously, she worked as the Bay Area program manager for Youth Speaks Inc. She has also worked for New Sector Alliance, Urban Planet Mobile, and Duke University.

A passion for community organizing and capacity building has been at the core of Fernande’s nonprofit career. Prior to her role as Program Officer at Full Circle Fund, Fernande was the Manager for Bay Area Programs at Youth Speaks, a leading youth development and arts-in-education nonprofit, where she worked on impact assessment, process improvement, youth leadership strategy, and relationship management. She originally joined Youth Speaks as a Resident in Social Enterprise Fellow through New Sector Alliance, a national nonprofit committed to strengthening the social sector by enriching its talent pipeline. Fernande’s commitment to the social sector is further reflected in her Advisory Board role for Oasis for Girls, a nonprofit that partners with girls and young women of color from under-resourced communities in San Francisco to help them build strong futures. Fernande holds a BA in International Comparative Studies from Duke University, as well as a Certificate in Markets and Management.
