PROFILE: Janet Joseph is Impact 100 Chicago’s grant review chair. She was also a founding member of the Chicago chapter. According to her statement on LinkedIn:
As the Grant Review Chair of the city chapter, I oversee the six grant review committees, which encompasses twelve Grant Chairs and 150 Impact members. My charge is to keep everyone on task during the grant review process (January - April). This entails reviewing LOIs (Letters of Inquiry), Grant applications and site visitations.
She is also a broker associate for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services/KoenigRubloff. She’s been working as a full-time realtor since 1996, and Realtor.com shared the following information about her:
A native Chicagoan, Janet grew up on the Northwest side. She attended grade school in the city, then moved to the suburbs for high school. Immediately upon graduating with a B.A. degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, she made a beeline back to the city, where she has lived ever since, living in Roscoe Village since 1996.
Janet is an avid gardener, participating each year in the Roscoe Village Garden Walk. She also loves to bike, antique and collect art. Prior to working in real estate, Janet spent years in advertising -- on the agency side and selling ad space. She also designed a successful line of jewelry that was marketed throughout the country.
Buyers enjoy working with Janet not only because she is real estate savvy and fun to work with, but also because of her sincere desire to help them find the perfect home. Since she is a mother, Janet is well versed on school options -- both private and public -- throughout the city.
