PROFILE: Macon C. Toledano has been involved with the Lyndhurst Foundation since April 2013 and serves as the funder’s associate director. He is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. According to the foundation website, Toledano oversees grant programs in urban design and development, neighborhood revitalization, resource efficiency and conservation, and the innovative economy.

Before joining Lyndhurst, Toledano was senior vice president of Leyland Alliance LLC for over eight years. He also was a managing member and principal for Morris Square, LLC/Civitas, LLC and the director of operations and development at Berkowitz Development Group. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, work in architecture and architectural theory at the Swiss Federal Polytechnic Institute in Zurich, and a master’s in architecture from Harvard.
