PROFILE: Mark Murray has served as a program director for the Field Foundation since 2013. In this role, he manages the Field Foundation's support for community, civic and cultural organizations in the Chicago area that enable both new and established programs to test innovations, expand proven strengths and address specific, time-limited operational needs. Prior to this role, he served as a senior program officer for the Field Foundation for nine years and a program officer for a year in 2003-2004.
Murray is also an instructor at DePaul University, where he teaches courses in arts and culture, nonprofits and public service, communications, and careers/internships. He previously worked as the director of arts education at the Illinois Arts Council. His educational background is at the University of Pennsylvania (MFA), DePaul University (MA), and the University of Dayton (BA).
