PROFILE: Neha Raval has been a program officer at the New York Women’s Foundation since July 2015. Her job duties include the following:
- Implement, monitor, and manage a portfolio of $1.3 million in grants with a focus on sexual health, reproductive rights and justice for girls, anti-violence, and ending commercial sexual exploitation; oversee grantee partner relationships, capacity building, advising, and coalition building
- Coordinate multi-million dollar initiative for girls, young women, and gender-fluid youth of color in order to build a stronger ecosystem of community based organizations, develop girls’ leadership, and contribute to culture change
- Convene economic security and anti-trafficking organizations to network, partner, and develop resources to support the economic well-being of survivors of trafficking; Convene and co-facilitate sessions with Diasporic communities in the women’s movement
- Coach a cross-cultural alliance of women activists in the participatory grant making process
Raval previously worked for the Global Fund for Children, Search for Common Ground, and the Center for Community Engagement and Service. She has an master's in international peace and conflict resolution from American University and a BA in women’s and gender studies and sociology from Rutgers University New Brunswick.
