Mr. Brohan most recently served as Director of Artistic Initiatives at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. In this capacity, he was responsible for setting the vision and strategic direction of a multi-disciplinary presenting program through programming, partnerships, and community engagement. He also served as the Associate Director for Cultural Participation at Clarice Smith where his duties focused on programming, operations, productions, and community outreach.
With 30 years of non-profit arts management experience, Mr. Brohan has held positions with the Theatre and Interpretation Center at Northwestern University; the Department of Music at the University of California, Santa Barbara; Ballet Michigan at the Flint Institute of Music; and the Department of Theatre at the University of Michigan, Flint. He has served on grant review panels for the National Endowment for the Arts, Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour, and Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. He served as a Hub Site Representative for the National Dance Project of the New England Foundation for the Arts, is a member of Theatre Communications Group, and a past member of The African Contemporary Arts Consortium, Major University Presenters, and the Joseph Jefferson Awards.
