Phill Gross is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Adage Capital Management L.P., a Boston-based money management firm. Adage manages assets primarily for endowment and foundation clients and is composed of a team of industry specific portfolio managers that use fundamental intra-industry investment approaches to achieve its investment objectives. Phill is also responsible for managing the healthcare portfolios at Adage.
Phill received his B.S. in finance and economics from the University of Wisconsin in 1982 and his M.S. in investments in 1983. He is a former member of the UW Foundation Board of Directors, and is currently a member of the Steve Hawk Center for Applied Securities Analysis Advisory Board and the Nicolas Center for Applied Corporate Finance Advisory Board at Wisconsin. Phill received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the UW Business School in 2006.
