PROFILE: Robert (Bob) Stranahan IV is the vice president of the Stranhan Foundation. He is also a practicing attorney. In January 2014, the Gallagher & Kennedy law firm announced his addition to its Santa Fe office in a press release that shared:

During his legal career, Mr. Stranahan has held key assignments in the New Mexico state government, serving as special counsel to Governor Gary Johnson and as general counsel and senior policy advisor for the New Mexico State Land Office. Within environment and natural resources law, he is experienced in regulatory enforcement and permitting for hazardous waste, radioactive waste, oil and gas, underground injection and water quality.

Prior to joining Gallagher & Kennedy, Mr. Stranahan was president of The Stranahan Firm in Santa Fe. His concentration was on natural resource and administrative law, specifically waste permitting processes and land transactions. “I am excited to be joining the Gallagher & Kennedy team,” said Stranahan. “I look forward to helping the firm continue its success and growth in the New Mexico region.”

Mr. Stranahan earned his J.D. in 2000 from St. Mary’s University School of Law and his B.A. in 1989 from Denison University. Mr. Stranahan is very active in the New Mexico philanthropic community through his role as vice president and board member of the Stranahan Foundation.
