PROFILE: Rosemary Byrnes serves as Senior Program Officer, U.S. Youth Economic Opportunities at the Citi Foundation. Her foundation bio shares:

Rosemary Byrnes oversees the Foundation's investments in Youth Economic Opportunity, including the Pathways to Progress Initiative - a three-year, $50 million commitment to give 100,000 low-income youth across the United States the opportunity to develop the workplace skills and leadership experience necessary to compete in a 21st century economy. Prior to this role, Rosemary held a number of positions in community engagement functions at Citi and the Citi Foundation, including Director of Citi Volunteers.

Before joining Citi in 2003, Rosemary fulfilled numerous roles at the American Red Cross in Greater New York including Director of Community Outreach, a department that she was tapped to create and direct for the organization. The department successfully provided disaster preparedness training to thousands of New Yorkers both pre- and post-September 11, 2001.

Rosemary serves on the board of the Catholic Youth Organization for the Archdiocese of New York and is a past co-chair of the Global Committee of the Points of Light Institute's Corporate Service Council. She holds dual Master's degrees from Bowling Green State University in Higher Education Administration and Guidance and a Bachelor's degree from Binghamton University.
