PROFILE: Sarah Kinser is the chief program officer of the Arkansas Community Foundation in Little Rock. She has been with the foundation since August 2007 and also served as the chief communications officer. Before this, she was a freelance writer and editor for five years and an adjunct composition instructor for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Sarah Kinser is chief program officer for Arkansas Community Foundation. In this role, she oversees the Foundation’s grantmaking, affiliate system, impact investing and community partnerships. Previously, led the Foundation’s communications department, where her work has received three Prism awards from the Public Relations Society of America – Arkansas chapter. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., and a master’s degree in professional and technical writing from UALR. She earned the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) credential in 2012.
Previously, she worked on the staff of the Arkansas Literary Festival and as a composition instructor at UALR. A true native Arkansan, Sarah lived in Jonesboro, Fayetteville, Conway, Benton and Prescott all before the age of 18. In addition to her work at the Community Foundation, Sarah is also a freelance writer and editor and founding member and co-chair of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network – Little Rock chapter. She is a graduate of the Southeastern Council of Foundations' Hull Fellowship program to train the Southeast's next generation of philanthropic leaders, and is a member of Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXX.
