PROFILE: Suganthi Simon has been the quality of life program officer at the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation since October 2014. Her job is to implement grantmaking programs and public service projects that build community and enhance quality of life in Atlanta and beyond. Other goals include expanding access to parks and green space, increasing recreational activities and healthy lifestyles and fostering diverse creative activities through the arts.
Prior to this, she worked for the EPA as a special assistant to the deputy regional administrator, a pollution prevention coordinator, and an environmental scientist. Simon also worked on the 2013 NCAA Final Four Atlanta Sustainability Executive Team to help build sustainability procurement specifications for future NCAA bids. She holds a bachelor’s in environmental science from Wellesley College and a master’s in industrial environmental management from Yale.
