PROFILE: Established in 1987, the NV Energy Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the NV Energy company, which is based in Reno, Nevada. Grants range between $5,000 and $25,000. Grantmaking focuses on the state of Nevada, including the communities of Las Vegas, Reno-Sparks, Henderson and Elko.
This foundation accepts unsolicited grant applications from nonprofits, and each funding priority has its own application deadlines. Arts and culture applications are due November 15, education applications are due February 15, environment and community enhancement applications are due May 15, and safety and wellness applications are due August 15.
