PROFILE: Established in 2007, the Sun Capital Partners Foundation is the foundation of business partners Marc J. Leder and Rodger R. Krouse. Ledger and Krause founded the global private equity firm, Sun Capital Partners, which is “focused on identifying companies' untapped potential and leveraging its deep operational and financial resources to transform results.” The foundation is based in Boca Raton, Florida and focuses much of its giving on this region. Grantmaking includes education, children and youth, hunger, domestic violence, health, arts and culture, Jewish life, and environmental sustainability.
Foundation funding is broad and covers a wide range of topics that are of interest to the founders. The foundation is interested in supporting its mission of promoting sustainable and positive change in the community. It has supported hundreds of local organizations and also responds to disaster relief needs close to home and beyond.
