BACKGROUND: Howard H. Newman graduated with a B.A. and M.A. in economics from Yale University and a Ph.D. in business economics from Harvard University. Newman is chairman and CEO of Pine Brook Road Partners in New York and Houston, which he co-founded in 2006.
