OVERVIEW: Richard Braddock, his wife Susan, and their family conduct their philanthropy through the Richard and Susan Braddock Family Foundation According to available tax filings, the foundation awarded $1.4 million in grants from 2016 to 2017. Braddock steadily supports his alma mater, Dartmouth College, along with arts, education, health, and policy.

BACKGROUND: Richard Braddock graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in History and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. He began his career at General Foods and joined Citicorp in 1973, eventually being elected president and COO. He has served as chairman of priceline.com, MidOcean Partners, and FreshDirect. 

ISSUES:          

EDUCATION & YOUTH: Braddock supports alma mater Dartmouth College, which his two sons attended as well. The family established the Braddock Family Fund to support undergraduate business courses. Other grantees include Partnership for Inner City Education, Cristo Rey New York High School, and Friends of TEAM Academy.

ARTS & CULTURE: Susan Braddock is Met Opera Guild president emeritus, and the couple steadily supports the Met Opera. Other grantees include Lincoln Center, American Museum of Natural History, and NY Philharmonic.

POLICY: Braddock is a trustee of the Aspen Institute, which the couple supports via their foundation. Other grantees include Cato Institute, Heritage Foundation, and Manhattan Institute.

HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES: Grantees include The Bowery Mission, Mayo Clinic, and Hospital for Special Surgery.
