BACKGROUND: Sheldon Goldman graduated with a B.A. from Yeshiva University in 1981, a JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1984 and a Master's in Tax Law from Georgetown University Law Center in 1985. He managed M&A efforts globally for Viatel, a Dublin-based telecoms operator, and later founded S. Goldman Advisors and S. Goldman Asset Management.


JEWISH CAUSES: Goldman, via his foundation, has supported Northwestern University - Hillel (Goldman chairs the board), Young Israel of White Plains, Yad Avraham Institute, Jewish Community Center of Mid-Westchester, and religious institution Chevrat Pinto in New York City, which has received strong support.
