BACKGROUND: Howard Rubin received a B.S. in chemical engineering from Lafayette College in 1977, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1982. In 1987, he joined the mortgage department at Bear Stearns becoming a senior managing director and head of the CMO Trading Desk. Rubin later worked at Soros Fund Management. The couple divorced in 2021.
