OVERVIEW: Sacha and Rebecca Lainovic conduct their philanthropy through the Naddisy Foundation. According to available tax filings, the foundation distributed just over $2.2 million in grant funds in 2018. The couple supports schools with which they have a personal connection. Another interest is health.

BACKGROUND: Sacha Lainovic has an M.S. in engineering from Institut National des Sciences Appliquees Lyon, France, and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He cofounded The Invus Group LLC, a global private equity firm, and was executive vice president from 1985 to 2006.  Lainovic is a cofounder of Invus Financial Advisors. 

ISSUES: 

HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES: The Lainovics support Food Allergy Research & Education, an interest that may stem from their son's food allergies. Other grantees include Ronald McDonald House (Lainovic has been on the board), Lucille Packard Foundation, Action Against Hunger, and Memorial Sloan Kettering. 

EDUCATION & YOUTH: Lainovic supports his alma mater, Stanford University. Other grantees include Regis High School, Williams College, and Covenant of Sacred Heart. Stefan attended Regis and Williams.           

LOOKING FORWARD: Sacha Lainovic is still very much engaged in business, but perhaps more money will move out of the foundation in the coming years.
