Standel’s professional bio shares:

Dona was born in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, and has been living in San Francisco since 2005. She now lives with her husband, Jordan Hopstone, whom she met at San Francisco Hillel! She has been an active member of the San Francisco Jewish Community since her college years 10 years ago.

As a student of Communication Studies, and Koret Intern of San Francisco Hillel, Dona became involved in the Jewish community for the first time. Her passion became engaging hundreds of students in meaningful relationships, programming, and education. Her success took shape as she became the Program and Engagement Coordinator at San Francisco Hillel, where she continues to serve on the Board of Directors. After years at San Francisco Hillel, Dona dove into Early Childhood Education, and soon became Director of Administration at Gan Noe Preschool.

Dona is our Program Assistant in North America at Diller Teen Fellows and she is thrilled to serve her community through dynamic, impactful, experiential, and empowering work.
