OVERVIEW: Mark and Lori Fife conduct their philanthropy through the Lori and Mark Fife Foundation, which according to available tax filings, gave away just under $500,000 from 2017 to 2018. The Fifes serve on the board of Facing History and Ourselves. Fife is also on the board of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania

BACKGROUND: Mark S. Fife graduated with a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1978. He was a vice president of Goldman Sachs, cofounded EnTrust Capital in 1997, and went on to found MSF Capital.  

ISSUES:

EDUCATION & YOUTH: The Fifes steadily support their mutual alma mater, UPenn. Fife is vice chair of the Penn Graduate School of Education (GSE) board of overseers, and the Fifes fund several scholarships at GSE. Lori also established the Rutman Teaching Fellowship in honor of her parents. Other grantees include Cardozo School of Law (Lori is an alumna), Columbia Law School, Success Academy Charter Schools, and Mott Haven Academy.

JEWISH CAUSES: The Fifes serve on the board of Facing History and Ourselves, which they support. Other grantees include Park Avenue Synagogue, UJA Federation, Penn Hillel, Museum of Jewish Heritage, and The Israel Project.

ARTS & CULTURE: Lori is on the board of Manhattan Theater Club, which the couple has supported. Other grantees include The Met and New York Historical Society

HEALTH: The couple has supported National MS Society and Mount Sinai
