Philosophy/Approach: My motivation as a philanthropy advisor is to encourage wealth holders to give with intention and to be excellent partners.

The key value that underpins all my work is respect:

  • ensuring those with funds to give do so in a way that respects the expertise and effort of those working for social good and the communities they serve;

  • listening carefully and providing options, ideas, information, and challenge to ensure my clients give in ways that align with their values and meet their goals.

Types of clients: Private foundations, individual donors

Specialization: I am a generalist advisor. I specialise in helping individuals and families get started with (or ramp up) their giving and bring in others with the right expertise as needed.

“Thank you for guiding us in such a bespoke way. The mark of an excellent consultant is to take the theory and their experience and apply it to the client’s very specific circumstances and make them understand how they can get to where they need to be. In my experience, very few manage the bespoke. You have done it masterfully.”
