Julie Carter, Carter Consulting Group LLC

If you are ready to take your development program to the next level, Carter Consulting Group will help you get there.

Founder and President Julie D. Carter launched her firm in 2010 with over thirty years of personal experience in fundraising and management at some of the country’s most respected cultural organizations.  She previously served as chief development officer with three organizations in the Washington, D. C area, including Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, The National Assembly of Local Arts Agencies (now Americans for the Arts), and George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens.

In 2005 Ms. Carter successfully completed the Campaign for Wolf Trap, a $21 million building and endowment campaign. She subsequently worked on the leadership phase and planning of Mount Vernon’s campaign to build George Washington’s Presidential Library, which opened in 2012 after a successful $160+ million campaign. In each of these efforts Ms. Carter has led significant growth in net contributions during dynamic periods in institutional development.
