PROFILE: Established in 1997, the Community Foundation of the Quincy Area (CFQA) is a community foundation based in Quincy, Illinois. A small group of citizens created CFQA to secure the quality of life in the region in the present ant future. This foundation manages approximately 195 funds. The foundation aims to "improve the quality of life in the communities we serve and accomplish this by building permanent charitable funds that benefit our communities today, tomorrow and for years to come.” It funds local efforts for arts and culture, community betterment, education, health and human services.
