This funder operates as a project of the New Venture Fund. Its mission is “to harness the collective power of individuals, communities, corporate leaders, government, and philanthropy to ensure homes and communities in California are safe and free from death, injury, and trauma due to firearm violence.” Specifically, the found works to “enhance efficiency, fill research gaps, build capacity, provide actionable data and change the narrative on gun violence.” Hope and Heal makes “strategic investments” in “innovative and proven solutions that not only promote gun violence prevention efforts, but can be replicated, tested and implemented in communities across California.”
