BACKGROUND: Kenneth Levy graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from City College of New York and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University. After spending six years in the aerospace simulation field, Levy joined the startup team at Computervision Corporation. Levy was the founder and chairman of KLA-Tencor Corporation, a semiconductor company based in Northern California. He's since gone on to serve as a principal of Glen Una Investments.
JEWISH CAUSES: The Levys are strongly involved with the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley, which is owner and landlord of the Gloria and Ken Levy Family Campus, a Jewish community campus in Los Gatos. The campus is the site of Yavneh Day School, among other activities, and the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center. The couple have also supported Congregation Beth David and American Israel Education Foundation.
EDUCATION & YOUTH: Grantees have included Achieve Kids, Kehillah Jewish High School, and UC Berkeley Foundation.
