Grants for Arts and Culture, Community Development, Education, Public Health and Access, and the Environment

The Clarinda Foundation supports a variety of local causes to improve the lives of people who live in Clarinda. Past support has gone towards art workshops, baseball fields, police and fire departments, library projects, community buildings and the equipment needs of nonprofits. Through grantmaking, the funder looks for projects that address significant community issues, develop community leadership, have a sustainability plan and involve capital projects that impact many community residents. However, the foundation does not provide operating support, ongoing project support, funds for religious purposes or annual campaign funds. This is a funder that prefers to offer matching grants.
