PROFILE: Established in 1959, the J.A. Wedum Foundation is a private foundation based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. J.A. Wedum’s estate provided the initial assets for the foundation to be incorporated. His grandson followed in his footsteps and became the driving force behind the foundation. The foundation aims to "develop and utilize the resources of the foundation to positively change and improve people’s lives in the spirit of stewardship and generosity exemplified by John A. Wedum, the grandfather, and carried forward by John A. Wedum, the grandson.” It funds local efforts for housing, the elderly, education and community needs.
