PROFILE: Established in 1983, the Hallmark Corporate Foundation (HCF) is a corporate foundation based in Kansas City, Missouri. Best known for its greeting cards, the Hallmark company has a portfolio of businesses that include Hallmark Greetings, Hallmark Retail, Crown Media, Crayola and Crown Center. The foundation want to help create communities where “all children have the chance to grow up as healthy, productive and caring persons; vibrant arts and cultural experiences enrich the lives of all citizens; there is a strong infrastructure of basic institutions and services, especially for persons in need; and all citizens feel a responsibility to serve their community.” It funds local efforts for children and families, arts and culture, civic institutions, education and human services.

The Hallmark Corporate Foundation makes cash contributions for programs, capital improvements and occasionally operating support as well. It also provides volunteer assistance through the efforts of company employees. Hallmark provides product donations and fundraising event sponsorships to Kansas City-based organizations as part of its charitable efforts as well.
