PROFILE: Established in 1980, the AGC Education Foundation is an industry-specific foundation based in Seattle, Washington. The founding group of general contractors in the state wished to give back to the community based upon the believe that ongoing education and training are vital to the construction industry. The original foundation trustees included Louis Rowley, Tullus Gordon, Terry Deeny, Dann Sheffield and Larry Johnson. The foundation aims to "develop and promote construction careers through quality education and training.” It funds local efforts for education, outreach, training and lifelong learning.

The AGC Education Foundation has programs that serve current construction industry employees, adults interested in construction careers, students in grade school through college, as well as middle and high school teachers.
