June Boeing and the Boeing Company each contributed $15 million to STEM education offered through the Museum of Flight, launching the Boeing Academy for STEM Learning, a “vigorous, new STEM-focused education initiative” focused particularly on communities underrepresented in STEM fields, connecting them to jobs. The family continues to support the Museum of Flight via the Aldarra Foundation. Bill Boeing donated $1.5 million to help fund the expansion of Seattle Children’s Hospital. The Aldarra Foundation’s grantmaking continues to steadily support the hospital.

Important Grant Details:

Grants range from $500 to $375,000. In a recent fiscal year, the foundation gave away around $1.5 million. Past grantees include Washington State University Foundation, Bertschi School, Seattle's Union Gospel Mission, and Northwest Organization for Animal Help (NOAH).

The foundation keeps a low profile and does not accept unsolicited proposals.
