Linda Nordstrom graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Washington. She hails from the Nordstrom family, which launched the well-known purveyor of high-quality clothing, furniture, and other household goods. After a number of years in marketing, sales and management in the family business, Linda Nordstrom founded Northstream Development, a real estate development and property management company focused on Seattle’s Greater Eastside. She served as president and CEO until retiring in 2011.

Grantees have included University of Washington Foundation, Youth Eastside Services, Boys & Girls Club of Bellevue, Pilchuck Glass School, and Bastyr University.

Grants for Arts and Culture

Nordstrom recently completed terms on the board of trustees for the Seattle Symphony and the Seattle Opera, both of which she’s supported. Other grantees include Classical King FM 98.1, Henry Gallery Association , Seattle Art Museum (she’s on the board), and KCTS.

Grants for Health

Nordstrom is on the honorary board of LifeSupport, which works in rural Upper Kittitas County, and supports the organization. Other grantees have included United Way, Swedish Medical Center, Union Gospel Mission, and Northwest Harvest.
