PROFILE: The Stevens Family Foundation was established in 2004 by Microsoft veteran Charles Stevens and his wife Delphine, a lawyer. While the foundation does not maintain a website, it does have a slight web presence that details some of the foundation’s grantmaking priorities and activities. The Stevens Family Foundation funds education, health, public welfare, the arts, the environment and religious life.

Delphine is a member of the Seattle chapter of ARCS, which “contributes to the advancement of science and technology by funding Ph.D. fellowships for academically outstanding scholars in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math at the University of Washington and Washington State University.” And Charles Stevens has been on the board of Seattle Children’s for a decade and the family steadily supports the institution.

Grants range from $25 to $56,100. Past grantees include Lakeside School (Charles Stevens was a board member), St. Thomas Church, United Way of King County (Charles was on the board), Seattle Opera (Delphine was on the board), Seattle Repertory Theatre and the Seattle Foundation.

The foundation keeps a low profile and does not accept unsolicited proposals.
