PROFILE: The Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) is a sports team foundation based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is the charitable of the Milwaukee Brewers Major League Baseball team. The foundation "harnesses the pride, passion and commitment of Brewers fans, players and other supporters to positively impact the lives of children and their families in Greater Milwaukee and Wisconsin.” BCF funds local efforts for health, education, recreation and basic needs.
The Brewers Community Foundation mostly focuses its attention on low-income and disadvantaged youth and their families with all of its program areas. BCF pursues its mission through various programs, including a 50/50 raffle, giving complimentary game tickets to youth groups and scholarships for Wisconsin students. It gives fans the opportunities to buy scoreboard messages, gives student achievement awards for students in grades seven to 12 and partners with Delta Dental to provide free dental care for children. BCF also hosts events, including charity drives, Jackie Robinson Day and 5K races.
