PROFILE: Established in 2000, the Shasta Regional Community Foundation (SRCF) is a community foundation based in Redding, California. Local community members created the foundation to improve the quality of life for people in the North State region. It has approximately 150 funds under management. The foundation aims to "enhance the value of our region in Shasta, Siskiyou and Tehama counties through the power of giving.” SRCF funds local efforts for children and youth, animal welfare, community needs, arts and culture, disaster relief and women and girls.

The Shasta Regional Community Foundation has a grant program called the ACEs Resilience and Hope Fund of Shasta County that supports efforts to break generational cycles of child abuse and neglect. Animal welfare grants support rescue, spay and neuter services and rehabilitation efforts. The Burney Regional Community Fund at SRCF funds various efforts in the Greater Burney Region, while the Community Arts Endowment Fund supports visual public art. There is a Community Disaster Relief Fund at SRCF for urgent needs, as well as the McConnell Fund, Redding Rancheria Community Fund and the Women’s Fund that have open application windows.
