PROFILE: Established in 1995, the Community Foundation of South Central Kentucky (CFSCK) is a community foundation based in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The foundation formed when Mayor Johnny Webb convened a committee to find out more about community foundations and create one. The foundation aims to "encourage philanthropic giving for positive impact upon our communities now and for generations to come.” CFSCK funds local efforts for education, health, human services, arts, public recreation and beautification.

The Community Foundation of South Central Kentucky funds a broad range of local causes in Kentucky communities. Through its grantmaking, CFSCK looks to improve the quality of life in the region. It makes grants through an open application process and by donor recommendations. CFSCK generally accepts requests up to $5,000 but does not fund capital campaigns, endowments, religious purposes, general operating revenues or capital improvements unless they are tied to a specific program proposal.

Grants range between about $3,000 and $100,000. Learn more about this funder’s local giving by examining its recent tax records.
