PROFILE: Established in 1994, the Incourage Community Foundation (ICF) is a community foundation based in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. ICF has transitioned from a traditional grantmaker to a place-based organization that is moving towards a shared vision and connects all forms of resources and capital. The foundation aims to "help create a community that works well for all people.”  It funds local efforts for education, human services, health, economic opportunity, economic growth and resident engagement.

The Incourage Community Foundation supports a wide variety of nonprofit causes in the local region. It is interested in helping vulnerable people and promoting diversity. K-12 education community health, voting and volunteerism are interests of the foundation. ICF also funds efforts to promote employment, local businesses and learning opportunities in the community. ICF’s “What If?” grants are for resident-led projects that bring people together and lead to action. “Bridge” grants are reserved for unforeseen emergencies, and “Smile from Lacey” grants help families who need financial help due to a child’s medical issues. For local nonprofits, ICF provides training and capacity building support, as well as research and education resources.

Grants range between about $5,000 and $100,000. Learn more about this funder’s local giving by examining its recent tax records.
