Grants for Arts and Culture, Higher Education, Publid Health and Access, Environment and Community Development

The George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation funds both large and small arts organizations, especially ones that engage local youth. Community grants target hunger, homelessness, addition, urban planning, affordable housing, parks and playgrounds, youth camps, people with disabilities, abuse and neglect victims, legal support, and after-school activities for at-risk youth. The foundation partners with Native-led and Native-serving groups to support Native American culture in Utah. Education grants primarily go to Utah universities, while health grants focus on the quality and availability of health care programs. Finally, preservation and conservation grants go towards protecting the forests, wetlands, streams, rivers, farmlands, national parks, and open landscapes of Utah.

Past local grantees include the Utah Symphony, the Road Home, Utah Food Bank, Dixie State University, and Friends for Sight.
